Diversity and Inclusion (D&I)

We consider the promotion of diversity a vital aspect of management, and are working to create an organization where, based on work style reforms, diverse individuals can achieve their full potential.

Sustained Growth of Diversity

Ichikawa does not set specific promotion targets for overseas nationals or midcareer hires going into management positions based on gender or other factors. Instead, we focus on nurturing individuals based on their hard work and abilities, ensuring that they have opportunities to become managers. We have also established a robust human resource system to support this approach.
Further, we promote women and overseas nationals to management positions, and since May 2020, we have appointed an executive officer who is from overseas.
Strategically, we employ mid-career hiring and other strategies to acquire highly specialized talent.

Reason for Promoting Diversity in Human Resources

In these rapidly changing times, sustaining and boosting corporate value requires moving beyond standardized employee groups with the same attributes, as this approach has limitations.

Direction for Achieving Goals

To grow alongside society

We will continue to cultivate an international standard for human rights awareness and environmental consciousness.

To achieve world-class quality

  • We will harness the power of data and digital technologies to transform how we work and evolve into a company that can deliver new value.
  • We will develop a workplace environment with a high level of psychological safety, where individuals can use their full potential, free from constraints based on personal attributes.

To explore new businesses

  • We will innovate through the unique synergy of unconventional thinking and proprietary technologies.
  • To help improve people’s lives, we value a range of consumer perspectives. We aim to cultivate an environment where individuals can flourish, unrestricted by personal attributes, as we embrace diverse viewpoints, values, and experiences.
