Compliance

  • Ichikawa has established a Corporate Code of Conduct, Compliance Regulations, and a Compliance Manual, which we thoroughly communicate to all employees.
We also hold monthly Compliance Committee meetings to report on each department’s compliance status and provide necessary internal training and guidance according to job positions.
  • The Corporate Auditing Department receives monthly reports from the Compliance Officer on the status of compliance within the Ichikawa Group.
In addition, we conduct internal audits to confirm compliance with laws and regulations, with internal audit reports prepared semi-annually and reported to the Board of Directors.

Compliance Promotion System

Ichikawa’s compliance promotion system includes the following components:

  • Board of Directors
  • Compliance Committee
We have established a Compliance Committee, chaired by the Director in charge of General Affairs, to support and guide our officers and employees in consistently practicing compliance.
  • Supervisory Department and Deputy Supervisory Departments
The Corporate Auditing Department serves as the supervisory department. It handles the secretariat duties for the Compliance Committee, plans and promotes compliance programs (including training), collects information on compliance status, investigates individual cases, and reports to the Compliance Committee.
For major operations, we have designated deputy supervisory departments to collect information on the compliance status in their respective areas.
  • Compliance Officers
We have appointed compliance officers for each department and subsidiary to perform designated duties as the person responsible for overall compliance in their respective areas.
All compliance officers and the supervisory departments meet twice a year to exchange information and discuss compliance activities.

Initiatives

Ichikawa Helpline (Whistleblowing System)

  • Based on the Ichikawa Helpline Management Regulations, we have established and operate a whistleblowing system to prevent and promptly detect issues such as illegal activities, regulation violations, and unethical conduct within the Group.
  • The Ichikawa Helpline includes an internal contact point and an external contact point at a lawyer’s office which has no conflict of interest with Ichikawa. These channels handle reports and consultations from employees of Ichikawa and our Group companies.

Compliance Training

We systematically conduct compliance training as part of the hierarchical education stipulated in our Education and Training Regulations. We are working to raise compliance awareness among all employees by providing annual ongoing compliance training tailored to each level, such as newly promoted senior staff and new employees.
